Mutant-Thoughts embody the analog-digital crossover in flux - their unique brand of genre-defying rock is a frenetic amalgam of maximalist Latin-influenced beats, brooding synthscapes and relentless rhythmic energy.

Colombian-born composer Han Luis Cera draws on the sounds of his roots - with bouncing claves set against rich synth textures, and the hip-shaking riffs of bassist Josh Lennox-Hilton - the band counterpose deep grooves with a lingering melancholia, making music which is darkly evocative while maintaining a strong pop sensibility.

The band have had high profile attention - working with Grammy award-winning producer Sylvia Massy on their ‘Reality Suspended’ EP and playing at national festivals such as ArcTanGent, Wychwood, Dot-to-Dot and local alternative festival Simple Things in their hometown of Bristol.

In 2026, they are set to release their debut album ‘MAKESHIFT_DNA’ - bringing together their myriad soundscapes to produce a record steeped in technofuturism exploring the issues of cultural displacement and the spaces between communication and understanding.
